Working Principle
Thermal Sensing:
The bimetallic disc within the protector senses both heat and current.
When the temperature or current exceeds a predetermined threshold, the disc snaps open, interrupting the power supply.
PTC Heating Element Activation:
The act of breaking the circuit triggers the PTC heating element.
This element generates heat, maintaining the protector in the tripped state even after the initial overheating event has subsided.
Manual Reset:
The protector remains in the tripped state until the power supply is manually interrupted and the device cools down.
Once the temperature returns to normal, the bimetallic disc resets, allowing the power supply to resume.
